Zombie Poster

Okay, so I was browsing around Reddit, and I came across a post of a zombie poster. I decided to make my own. It's more of a "text" style of poster, whereas the original was more graphically based.

Here is the original created by Reddit user, hett.

Anyway, here is mine. Take a look, and click to make hugemongous.

Danielle - Roy Lichtensteinised

So I stumbled upon a tutorial today, and I thought it looked pretty cool. Also, I hadn't done a tutorial for a long while, and I thought I should give it a shot. The tutorial I came across was "Simple Roy Lichtenstein Style in Illustrator and Photoshop."

I decided to use a picture of a Danielle, one of my awesome friends who previous this year had (reluctantly) let me photograph her.

My room is very green, as well as Danielle's shirt, so this proved to hinder the photo a bit in the end - everything was a bit too dark.

This was the illustration of her that I got. Basically this was a layer to help make the image feel "printed."

I quite like how this turned out! I think, with some minor tweaking, this could look good on it's own.

Because my original photo was very dark, I had to spend a bit longer on it to make it come out. That's not a problem in itself. Being patient makes everything better in the end. Don't rush! Here's how it turned out.

Lookin' good! (Click to embiggen.)

I know she'll hate me when I show her this, but it's all in good fun. At least she's smiling in this picture!

Trip success!

Oh man, the drive out was long! Northern Canada is beautiful though, so no complaints there. I took a fair amount of photos so hopefully they turn out well. I have a few rolls of film I need to finish off before I get them developed and can put them up.

The wedding was good. It was fairly small with only thirty people or so, but aside from that it went smoothly. My brother was so nervous though, he said his new wife's lines during the vows.

We went to the West Edmonton Mall too, and it's huge like they said it would be. I was a bit disappointed in that most of the shops I saw were just regular old clothing stores. I don't need no clothes! But oh well. China town made me happy. I got a can of Chinese barbecue sauce. I don't know what I will use it for yet...

The amusement park was great though. Not a whole lot of rides, but for the size of the mall, and the fact that it was *inside* it was good enough. Me and my brother went on the big red roller-coaster three times. Ah, scary going up, but awesome coming down.

I'm home a little early because we brought my cousin home with us. So as there was no room in the car, I was tossed on a plane. I don't mind though, I don't think I could take another five days in a car. The trip out wasn't that bad, but I wouldn't want to do that again.
